Developing real estate for people, business and communities
CSM in the Community
CSM and CEO Gary Holmes understand that real estate development is much more than building or acquiring properties. Giving back to the community is essential. So for many years, Gary and the Holmes Family Foundation have made generous contributions of time, money and other resources to local and national organizations. Today, that same spirit of giving is woven into the employee culture.

Childrens Miracle Network (CMN) is the current charity where an employee created committee coordinates opportunities for our team members and their families to participate in fundraisers, donations and volunteer opportunities. Funds for the Children's Miracle Network are used to provide charitable care, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund research and education programs that save and improve the lives of 17 million children each year.

Hope for the City was CSM's first employee driven charity recipient. In the inaugural year of charitable contributions, the employees heartily embraced the challenge and internal goals were shattered. CSM was recognized with a Jefferson Award for corporate philanthropy by the Business Journal and a Partner in Hope Award from Hope for the City. Hope for the City is a local organization that was established to fight poverty, hunger, and disease by utilizing corporate surplus.

Supported and named after CSM founder and entrepreneur, the Gary S. Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship engages students, faculty, and the entrepreneurial business community in our teaching, research and outreach programs. Their mission is to inspire and educate the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Associate Testimonials
"The biggest impact for me has been the realization that I have lead a very fortunate life and more than that so have my children. I have taken that awakening and brought it home to my kids. I am proud to be part of a company that truly places a focus and encourages it's employees to make a difference. It has been a great way to bond with our co-workers and make a difference at the same time."
- Beth Anderson, Director of Sales
"Our company has been blessed, our employees have been blessed and we are happy to pass along our support and good fortunes to others."
- Brad Kittleson, Vice President of Property Management
"Volunteering is a very rewarding opportunity. You know that you are contributing to making a real difference and impact in our local community, plus it is fun!"
- Kory Kingsbury, Sales Manager
"As the Director of Learning and Development for CSM, I organize many teambuilding activities throughout the year. The feedback from the volunteering teams has been outstanding. The end result: our associates love working side by side for a worthy cause. It builds loyalty to the community, a warm feeling of having done something selfless and, oh by they way, all of this is accomplished while working together as a team. "
- Jen Michaud, Director of Learning and Development
"CSM makes it easy to be a part of the community by offering a variety of ways to be involved: food drives, financial contributions, volunteering and various fundraisers. Volunteering is not only a "feel good" experience, it's also a great way to get to know people within CSM that you don't work with on a day to day basis. It's exciting to watch the totals climb on the volunteer hours, food and cash donations and see the impact one company can make. We should all be proud to work for a company that values giving back."
- Mary Bussiere, Regional Director of Human Resources
