Jim provides financial leadership and process discipline to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the CSM organization. Jim and his team focus on providing the right data and analytics to make optimal decisions, eliminate waste and redundancy in our processes, improve information systems quality and capabilities, and take advantage of current market conditions in the financial and real estate markets. Jim focuses his energy on driving the right goals and expectations for the organization and then establishing frameworks that monitor performance metrics against those goals to ensure accountability. Jim is a business leader intensely focused on driving exceptional performance.

Prior to his current role, Jim has held senior level Finance and Operations positions in a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Retail and Consumer Goods. He began his career as an auditor at KPMG, where he reached the level of senior manager. From there, he leveraged his strong finance and accounting background to lead the Financial and Treasury functions in major retailers including Nordstrom, Best Buy and Supervalu. He has extensive business development experience including leading the strategy and diligence for major acquisitions in his most recent role at Tennant, translating into global acquisitions that increased the organization by over 30% in total revenue and profit.

Jim earned a double major in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin and is a licensed CPA (inactive). He has five children that keep him very busy in his free time. He is an active volunteer at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Chanhassen, MN, and in Boy Scouts where he serves on the Northern Star Advisory Council and is also the advancement chair for Troop 345 in Deephaven, MN. He enjoys outdoors, boating, fishing, golf and he also has enjoyed coaching his kids sports teams including basketball, baseball and volleyball.
